What if the domain name I want isn’t available?
Unfortunately, with the dot com boom in the late 90s and with more and more people getting on the web every day, many people have snatched up popular and common domain names. If the domain name you are looking for is taken, you can do one of two things: 1) pick something else; 2) contact the person who owns it and try to buy it from them. With the second option, you’ll have to negotiate with the owner for the price.

What if I want more than one domain name to point to my site?
You can absolutely have more than one domain name point to your website. If you’re hosting your site with us, we can set up more than one domain to forward to your web hosting account. You will still have to individually purchase all of the domain names that you want to forward to that account.

Can I cancel my domain name registration?
You cannot cancel your domain name registration prior to the end of the term.

All websites hosted by Spaceman Xpress automatically come with 20 email accounts for their domain name.

When someone types in my domain name, how does it show my website?
When someone types in your domain name, your domain name servers, or computers, are pointed to particular web hosting servers. If those servers have your website files on them, they will appear when the domain name is typed in. To maximize services for you, all of our Xpress Websites are hosted by Spaceman Xpress for the first year free of charge. As such, your domain name servers must be pointed to our hosting servers so that when someone types in your domain name, your Xpress website will appear. You are in charge of making sure that your name servers are pointed to our hosting servers. It generally takes up to 24 hours for that change to be effective. Until this is complete, Spaceman Xpress cannot guarantee any timeframe for your website to be viewable.

How do I switch my domain name servers to my new hosting servers?
If you have purchased your domain name through a company other than Spaceman Xpress, you will need to switch your domain name servers to Spaceman Xpress hosting servers in order for your site to be viewable.
To do this:
Log in to your Domain Name Registrar’s site. (Your domain name registrar is the company from which you purchased your domain name. Eg. Network Solutions or Godaddy, for example.)
You will need your Username and Password for that account. Once you’ve logged in, look for a link to “modify name servers,” “change domain name servers,” “edit dns” or something similar. When you find that, click on it. There should be settings for Primary and Secondary name servers.
Your Primary Name Server should be: ns61.websitewelcome.com. Your Secondary Name Server should be: ns62.websitewelcome.com.
Once you have made those changes, confirm and log out of your account. Your job is complete. Now, when people type in your domain name, the servers will know they need to grab the website information from our hosting servers instead of the prior hosting servers.
